HDR Photography FAQs
We can usually shoot a property with a few days of placing your appointment request.
Zipp3D takes a photo realistic approach to Real Estate HDR Photography. While we do embrace the benefits of HDR, you won't see any cartoon-like or over sharpened images from us. While we do incorporate some automation, every image cannot be churned out the same way.
Our images are bright, sharp, and colorful. High impact photos takes the proper gear, knowledge, personnel and processing. Trust your eyes.
Yes! Photos will be delivered within 24 Hours of the shoot appointment. For turn around times on other services please visit the respective service FAQ.
Any shoot can be upgraded to a Twilight Appointment. Twilight shoot start times vary during the calendar year. It's best to contact us and discuss the property details, and size to determine the best start time. Daylight photos can be enhanced with Photo Enhancements as well, for more information see Photo Enhancement FAQ.
Zipp3D's photographers will usually be on site for approximately 30 minutes. This can vary depending on the size of the property. Please refer to our Property Preparation FAQ for how to ready your listing for photos.

On your first order with Zipp3D we will provide you with a Property Preparation Checklist that your can give the homeowner. We have photographed thousands of listings.... we are excited to pass along what we think will help the property show in the best light!
We don't need anyone on site, but you are always welcome to join us! Being there can also assist in pointing out specific features unique to the property that you would like to show. But with our experience, if you want to just let us execute what we do best!
All we need is entry details if the property is not occupied.. community gate code, and an E-box code or mechanical code for entry. If the home has an alarm system, the disarm code as well.
We deliver a minimum of 35 images on all HDR photo orders. On larger homes we will photograph more images. Our mission is to photograph all the important marketable aspects of the home. This includes community content and amenity content!! For more information on this, see Community & Amenities Included.
On smaller condos, town homes, rentals, this may incorporate multiple angles of featured rooms. Condos and town homes can easily achieve their 35 image count from community features.... pool, bbq, fitness center and other common areas.
For specifics on what we shoot and what we skip please see: What spaces do you shoot?
We shoot all of the most important marketable spaces to highlight the features and selling points of a property. This includes bedrooms, bathrooms, all common areas... kitchen, living, dining, den, great rooms. Finished basements, upgraded garages, secondary buildings like shops and casitas. We do shoot the laundry area, we've found that a percentage of sellers are leaving all appliances so we feel it's important to show this area.
What we don't shoot unless requested: pantry, bedroom closets, storage areas like under the stairs, attics. Sometimes an area such as the garage is used to accumulate all of the extra belongings to tidy the house for photos. If possible, try to avoid using a bedroom or featured area for the clutter, as a bedroom is a key selling point for the property.
3D Virtual Tour FAQs
We can usually shoot a property with a few days of placing your appointment request. 3D Tours are generally captured along with HDR Photos. Both services cannot be executed at the same time, they are performed back to back. For approximate time on site see: How long does 3D Capture take?
Zipp3D has scanned millions of Sq. Ft. of properties since the introduction of the technology. We have seen Matterport introduce many amazing features along the way. 3D technology is here to stay, it has been adopted by most of the national marketplaces, and is in demand by homeowners.
What features? I thought you just pointed and clicked and cruised around, that's it right? No! If you suspect you are being delivered a vanilla 3D Tour, you might want to hop on our Live Chat or give us a call.
3D tours can have embedded video and photo content for labeling and showcasing unique features & upgrades. We can accurately measure rooms and produce floor plans. We can even customize the tour URL with specific behavior to enhance the user experience.

3D Virtual Tour capture can take a significant time commitment, and all parties present will need to avoid the camera capture.. so we recommend an unoccupied home for ideal capture. If this is not an option, parties present can "trade places" with the photographer as they work through the property.
It is the agent & homeowner's responsibility to have the property fully prepared before and during the 3D capture.
With a 3D Virtual Tour order you will receive a branded and an unbranded version of the tour.
For add-ons available see 3D Add-ons.
We shoot all of the most important marketable spaces to highlight the features and selling points of a property. This includes bedrooms, bathrooms, all common areas... kitchen, living, dining, den, great rooms. Finished basements, upgraded garages.
3D Capture does not include detached buildings such as casitas & shops. For technical details of the cameras capability please talk to your account representative.
3D Virtual Tours will capture everything you can "see". So areas like closets, pantry, storage we recommend leaving closed. Just like HDR, 3D will capture outside of windows so any parties or items must be removed prior and kept out during capture.
